Percy Lodge meetings under the Rule of Six

Percy Lodge No.114 held their first meeting of the year on Wednesday 7 October and to adhere to the current Covid-19 guidelines only six members were in attendance at Guildford Masonic Centre.

First up was the RAM meeting with W. Cdr. Chris Stanford in attendance amply assisted by Worshipful.Brothers John French, Darren Mantell and Tony Callister together with Brothers Clive Goode and Stuart Hogarth. The meeting dealt mainly with a number administrative items before W.Bro Chris was proclaimed as Worshipful Commander for the ensuing year. He then proceeded to reappoint his officers despite many of them being unable to attend the meeting.

After a quick reshuffle of the Lodge furniture and a change of regalia W.Bro Chris Stanford then proceeded to open the Mark Lodge during which Brother Start Hogarth showed fleetness of foot with his a graceful movement around the Lodge during the opening while acting as Junior, Senior and Master Overseer. Again the meeting dealt mainly with administrative issues, with the main item of note being the election of Bro Clive Goode as Worshipful Master for the ensuing year.

At the end of the meeting all present were given a Mark handkerchief to recognise our first step back to a degree of normality.

We then retired to the dining room were the six of us sat down to an enjoyable meal provided by the new chef and his team where, assisted by a couple of bottles of wine, we spent an enjoyable evening going down memory lane recalling happier times when things were 'normal'.
