The Provincial Grand Senatus of Surrey supports our 2022 Festival

Due to the suspension of Masonic activity the Annual Meeting of the Provincial Grand Senatus of Surrey was held as a Virtual Business Meeting using the Zoom video conferencing tool.

Attending the meeting was the Grand Summus, M.Dist.Comp. Ian Stanley Currans, attended by over 30 Officers of Grand Senatus and 40 members of the Provincial Grand Senatus of Surrey; including our Provincial Grand Master, Deputy Provincial Grand Master and Past Members of the Provincial Executive. There were over 90 Companions from the Provinces in England and Wales and Districts overseas. There were Companions joining the meeting from Australia, the Far East, India, USA and Canada, which was tremendous support for the meeting considering the different time zones.

By 6 p.m. 170 Companions had joined the meeting. The Provincial Grand Summus Designate, Arnold Long, a Past Assistant Provincial Grand Master of the Mark Province of Surrey, declared the meeting open and welcomed all present. The Provincial Grand Recorder, Em.Comp. Chris Eley, a Past Assistant Provincial Grand Master of the Mark Province of Surrey, read the Exemption from the Notice of General Suspension.

The Provincial Grand Summus Designate welcomed the Grand Summus, M.Dist.Comp. Ian Stanley Currans who addressed the Companions. After the Grand Recorder, R.Dist.Comp. Ryan Williams, read the Patent of Appointment the Grand Summus formally confirmed R.Dist.Comp. Arnold Long as the Provincial Grand Summus for the Provincial Grand Senatus of Surrey. The Provincial Grand Summus then formally confirmed Dist.Comp. Nigel Thomson as the Deputy Provincial Grand Summus and Dist.Comp. Christopher Francis Hatton, P.G.Swd.B. as the Assistant Provincial Grand Summus.

The Provincial Grand Senatus of Surrey supports our 2022 Festival
The Provincial Grand Recorder read the names of the Companions appointed to and promoted in Provincial Grand Rank. The Provincial Grand Summus congratulated those who received appointment or promotion in the Provincial Grand Senatus of Surrey.

The Provincial Grand Summus announced that this year they will be supporting our Surrey Mark 2022 Festival with a donation of £1,000. Dist.Comp. Ian Clark, our Provincial Grand Master, thanked the R.Dist. Provincial Grand Summus and the Companions for their kind donation.

The Provincial Grand Senatus of Surrey supports our 2022 Festival
The Provincial Grand Summus addressed Provincial Grand Senatus. Many thanks were given to the Mark Province of Surrey for letting the Provincial Grand Senatus of Surrey use our Zoom account to hold the meeting, and to W.Bro. Tim Ford, our Provincial Grand Secretary, for running the technical side of the meeting so ably.

The Provincial Grand Summus then thanked everyone for attending and declared the meeting closed.
