A double elevation for Richmond Lodge

In January 2019, Richmond Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners conducted another double elevation ceremony.

The afternoon started off with a Royal Ark Mariners meeting where the Worshipful Commander, W.Bro. Gordon Hamilton, welcomed our guests.

A ballot was taken for Bros. Tony Mullard and Perry Harmon, members of Richmond Lodge of Mark Master Masons. This proved in their favour and Bros. Tony and Perry were Elevated to the Ancient and Honourable Degree of Royal Ark Mariner in a very friendly and sincere manner by W.Bro. Gordon, with the assistance of W.Bro. Malcolm Clarke who presented the Working Tools.

W.Bro. Garth Blanchard was declared Worshipful Commander and W.Bro. Tim Ford Treasurer for the ensuing year.

A Lodge of Mark Master Masons was opened. W.Bro. Chris Eley, Assistant Provincial Grand Master, was saluted with five. Our Group Charity Steward, W.Bro. David Lawrence, gave an update on the various charity initiatives to support the 2022 Festival.

After the short Mark meeting the Lodge was closed and after the customary photographs the Brethren of Richmond Lodge and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable festive board at the Surbiton Masonic Hall.

Richmond Lodge is a member of the Austin Group meeting at Surbiton and an open invitation is always there for other Brethren come along and enjoy their Mark Masonry with us.
