A busy afternoon for Weald of Surrey Lodge

In January, Weald of Surrey Lodge No 1314 had Candidates to Elevate in the RAM and Advance in the Mark. Present were the Provincial Grand Master, RW.Bro. Ian Clark; the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W.Bro. Chris Eley; and a Past Provincial Grand Master, RW.Bro. Ray Hussey. Also present was the Lodge’s Official Visitor, W.Bro. Peter Kipps, Provincial Grand Junior Warden.

The afternoon started off with a Royal Ark Mariner meeting where the Worshipful Commander, W.Bro. Roger Davies, welcomed the guests and visitors. The RW Brethren were saluted with 7.

A ballot was taken for Bro. Daniel Woolloff a member of Weald of Surrey Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 1314 which proved in his favour. The Worshipful Commander invited W.Bro. Barrie Northmore to conduct the ceremony of elevation. Bro. Dan was Elevated to the Ancient and Honourable Degree of Royal Ark Mariner in a very friendly and sincere manner by W.Bro. Barrie, with the assistance of W.Bro. Kevin Woodward the Senior Deacon.

Bro. Dan Woolloff was welcomed into the Order and congratulated by RW.Bro. Ian. The Worshipful Commander and Dan’s dad, W.Bro. Bob Woolloff, welcomed him into the Weald of Surrey Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners.

A Lodge of Mark Master Masons was then opened by the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Roger Davis, who welcomed the Provincial Grand Master and guests. The Right Worshipful Brethren were saluted with 7.

A ballot for Advancement was conducted in respect of Bro. Robert Hendry a member of Welcome Lodge No 5505, proposed by Bro. Len Hillier and seconded by W.Bro. Alan Boniface. This proved in his favour and Bro. Robert was admitted and advanced to the Honourable Degree of Mark Master Mason by W.Bro. Roger Davis, assisted by W.Bro. Kevin Woodward as Senior Deacon and Bro. Bob Woolloff as Junior Deacon.

A busy afternoon for Weald of Surrey Lodge

After the Lodge was closed the Brethren of the Weald of Surrey Mark Lodge and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable meal at the Sutton Masonic Hall. Weald of Surrey Lodge is a member of the Mann Group meeting at Sutton and an open invitation is always there for other Brethren go along and enjoy their Mark Masonry with them.
