An Executive visit to Warlingham Lodge

In December 2018, Warlingham Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No. 1321 and Warlingham Lodge of Mark Master Masons No. 1321 were honoured by a visit from VW.Bro. Richard Baker, Deputy Provincial Grand Master, and a number of Provincial Grand Officers of the year. Also present was W.Bro. Chris Eley, Assistant Provincial Grand Master.

The afternoon started off with a Royal Ark Mariners meeting where the Acting Worshipful Commander, W.Bro. Ian Keen, welcomed the Deputy Provincial Grand Master and the Provincial Officers.

A ballot was taken for Bro. Joe Concheiro a member of Warlingham Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 1321. This proved in his favour and Bro. Joe was Elevated to the Ancient and Honourable Degree of Royal Ark Mariner in a very friendly and sincere manner by W.Bro. Ian with the assistance of W.Bro. Joe Rochford who demonstrated the 9 steps.

Bro. Joe Concheiro was welcomed into the Order and congratulated by VW.Bro. Richard and W.Bro. Ian.

A Lodge of Mark Master Masons was then opened. The Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies, W.Bro. Darren Mantell, was admitted and advised the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Ray Dudman, that the Deputy Provincial Grand Master was in the ante room and he demanded admission to the Lodge. The Deputy Provincial Grand Master entered in procession with the Provincial team and was welcomed by the Worshipful Master. The Deputy Provincial Grand Master was presented with the gavel and took the Chair. After addressing the Brethren he introduced the Provincial team, took the minutes and vacated the Chair.

Next on the agenda was the installation of Bro. Paul Greenfield as Worshipful Master. This was done in a sincere manner by W.Bro. Ray Dudman assisted by W.Bro. John Marsh.
  • W.Bro. Chris Eley gave the Address to the Master;
  • W.Bro. David Wills the Address to the Wardens;
  • W.Bro. Terry Carpenter the Address to the Overseers;
  • and the Address to the Brethren was given by VW.Bro. Richard Baker.
After the appointment and investiture of Officers the Lodge approved a proposition to donate the sum of £680 towards the 2022 Festival which would entitle them to a Grand Patron award. They also approved a proposition to donate the sum of £430 towards the 2022 Festival in the name of the Royal Ark Mariner Lodge which would entitle them to a Vice Patron award.

This was received by the Deputy Provincial Grand Master with grateful thanks to the Brethren of the Lodge for their support for the 2022 Festival. The Deputy Provincial Grand Master then had much pleasure in presenting W.Bro. Bill Barr with a Grand Patron collaret and W.Bro. Peter Unwin with a Patron collaret, with thanks for their support for the Festival.

An Executive visit to Warlingham Lodge

After the Lodge was closed the Brethren of Warlingham Lodge and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable meal at the Nutfield Masonic Centre.

Warlingham Lodge is a member of the Wheeler Group meeting at Nutfield and an open invitation is always there for other Brethren to join them.
