A Visit to a London Mark Lodge

In October 2018, a number of Surrey Mark Masons were invited to the Commemoration Lodge of Mark Master Masons to witness a double advancement.

A Visit to a London Mark Lodge

The meeting was held in a very unique venue, Mumbai Square, Middlesex Street in London E1, an Indian Restaurant with a Temple upstairs.

After a very short RAM meeting a Lodge of Mark Master Masons was opened. A number of us assisted the Lodge by acting in various offices.

A ballot for Advancement was conducted in respect of Bro. John Anderson a Master Mason of Carbon Lodge No 2910 E.C. and W.Bro. David Massey a Past Master of Burdett-Coutts Lodge No 1278. This proved in their favour and Bros. John Anderson and David Massey were admitted and advanced to the Honourable Degree of a Mark Master Mason by the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Philip Young, and the officers of the Lodge and their guests.

After the Lodge was closed we dined in a dining room adjacent to the Temple where we were treated to a splendid curry. All too soon we had to catch the bus back to London Bridge to get our train home.
