Mark Master Masons of Surrey
Visit to the Provincial Grand Lodge of Hertfordshire

In July a number of Surrey Mark Masons attended the Annual Meeting of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Hertfordshire held at the Royal Masonic School for Girls, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire.

The delegation from Surrey included the Provincial Grand Master, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master and the Assistant Provincial Grand Master.

Visit to the Provincial Grand Lodge of HertfordshireAlso present were a number of Surrey Mark Masons including W.Bro. Richard Knox, Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, W.Bro. John Billett and W.Bro. Mike Prentice. Another Surrey Mark Mason present was RW.Bro. David Ashbolt, Provincial Grand Master of the Mark Province of London, a member of Rose Lodge of Mark Master Masons.

The meeting was opened in due form by RW.Bro. Keith Emerson, Past, Past Provincial Grand Master. After the meeting was opened the Installing Officer, RW.Bro. John Prizeman, Deputy Grand Master Grand Master, entered in procession, assumed the Chair and appointed his Officers.

The Provincial Grand Master Designate, VW.Bro. Richard M Walker was presented, obligated, invested and installed in the Chair of Provincial Grand Lodge by the Deputy Grand Master. The RW Provincial Grand Master then obligated, invested and installed W.Bro. Maurice W Smith as Deputy Provincial Grand Master and W.Bro. Prof. Jordon C Giddings as Assistant Provincial Grand Master. The Installing Officer and his Assistant Officers retired in procession from Provincial Grand Lodge. The RW Provincial Grand Master then called off Provincial Grand Lodge.

After lunch in the dining room of the Royal Masonic School for Girls we returned to the Temple and the RW Provincial Grand Master called on Provincial Grand Lodge. The Provincial Grand Master appointed and invested the Provincial Grand Officers for 2018-2019. After investing his Officers he addressed Provincial Grand Lodge. Provincial Grand Lodge was then closed in due form.
