Mark Master Masons of Surrey
The Travelling Keystone is on its way back to Guildford

In March, Richmond Lodge of Mark Master Masons No. 808 took away the Travelling Keystone from the Annual Meeting and proudly displayed it at their next Mark meeting in June. There in force were members of Percy Lodge led by their Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Nigel Graham, and W.Bro. John French, Assistant Provincial Grand Master.

The afternoon started off with a Royal Ark Mariners meeting where the Worshipful Commander, W.Bro. Gordon Hamilton, welcomed all the guests. He then invited W.Bro. Chris Eley to present a Royal Ark Mariner Grand Lodge Certificate to Bro. Bill Jowett.

A Lodge of Mark Master Masons was then opened by the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Gordon Hamilton, and the two Assistant Provincial Grand Masters were saluted with five.

A ballot for Advancement was conducted in respect of Bro. Perry Aldo Harmon a member of Kayhough Lodge No 3576, proposed by Bro. Tony Mullard and seconded by Bro. Bill Jowett. This proved in his favour and the Worshipful Master invited W.Bro. Tim Ford to assist by acting as Senior Deacon for the Ceremony.

Bro. Perry Harmon was admitted and advanced to the Honourable Degree of Mark Master Mason by W.Bro. Gordon Hamilton, assisted by W.Bro. Tim Ford who presented the Signs and gave the Charge; and W.Bro. James Hill who presented the Working Tools. The Worshipful Master thanked all those who assisted with the Ceremony.

After the customary photographs the Brethren of Richmond Lodge and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable festive board at the Surbiton Masonic Hall where the Travelling Keystone was proudly displayed.

At the end of the Festive Board the Worshipful Master of Percy Lodge No 114, W.Bro. Nigel Graham, and four other members stood to claim the Travelling Keystone. This was reluctantly handed over by the Worshipful Master of Richmond Lodge to end a most enjoyable afternoon and evening.
