Mark Master Masons of Surrey
With a little help from their friends

In May, my colleague John French asked if I could assist him by acting as MEZ at his Chapter, Earl of Zetland No 1364, meeting at Great Queen Street, London.

With a little help from their friends

The main item on the agenda was an address by the Scribe E, E.Comp. Michael Barnes, (Past Deputy Provincial Grand Master) entitled ‘Arches’. This most interesting and informative address was very well received and prompted a good discussion afterwards.

Present as the Chapter Director of Ceremonies was our Provincial Grand Master, E.Comp. Ian Clark; the District Grand Master of the Royal & Select Masters District of Surrey, David Blackburn, (Past Deputy Provincial Grand Master) who acted as Principal Sojourner; E.Comp. Chris Cradock, Past Third Provincial Grand Principal, and Provincial Sub Prior in the Provincial Priory of Surrey, Knights Templar.

The Third Principal of the Chapter was E.Comp. Louis Keats, the Provincial Grand Summus of the Ancient and Masonic Order of the Scarlet Cord in the Provincial Grand Senatus of Surrey. Also present was the Deputy Grand Superintendent Designate, E.Comp. Richard Knox, (Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies).

After the Chapter was closed we all went along to the Imperial Hotel, Russell Square, for a most convivial festive board.
