Mark Master Masons of Surrey
A visit to West Kent

In May my friend W.Bro. Bob Tuthill, our photographer and webmaster, asked me if I would attend his Craft Lodge, Pillars of Kent No 9012, in my capacity as Provincial Grand Orator for Surrey to give a talk on the Mark degree.

The talk, entitled ‘Why is the Mark essential for understanding present English Freemasonry’ was very well received and prompted some discussion afterwards. Assisting me by modelling some items of Mark and RAM regalia was their Honorary Organist, W.Bro. Glyn Harvey.

At the end of the meeting I was presented with a cheque for £50 towards the 2022 Festival, which was much appreciated.

After the meeting was closed the Brethren of the Pillars of Kent Lodge and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable festive board at the Oakley House Masonic Centre in Bromley.
