The Provincial Grand Master visits Woodgrange Lodge
The Last Meeting of Esher Royal Ark Mariners Lodge

On the 19th February 2018, W.Bro. Chris Eley, Assistant Provincial Grand Master, together with a number of Provincial Officers made an Official Visit to Esher Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners and Esher Lodge of Mark Master Masons No. 1050.

The afternoon started off with a Royal Ark Mariners meeting where the Worshipful Commander, W.Bro. David Willmott, RAMGR, welcomed the Assistant Provincial Grand Master and Provincial Officers.

Sadly this was to be the last meeting of Esher Royal Ark Mariners Lodge at Chertsey as, subject to approval by the Grand Masters Royal Ark Council, the Warrant will be transferred to Table Fellowship Lodge No. 1841 meeting at Surbiton.

A Lodge of Mark Master Masons was then opened. The Escorting Officer, W.Bro. Brian Osment, PGStB, PProvGSO, was admitted and advised the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Dean Gunn, that the Worshipful Assistant Provincial Grand Master was in the ante room and demanded admission to his Lodge.

The Assistant Provincial Grand Master entered in procession with the Provincial team, was presented with the gavel and took the Chair. He said how pleased he was to be visiting Esher Lodge for the very first time and how much he was looking forward to the afternoon’s proceedings. He spoke about the 2022 Festival, especially the events that have been planned, introduced the Provincial Team, took the minutes and vacated the Chair.

VW.Bro. David Willmott, PGJO, PAProvGM, was then installed into the Chair of the Esher Lodge of Mark Master Masons by W.Bro. Dean Gunn, ably assisted by the Officers of the Lodge. The Address to the Master was given by W.Bro. Dean Gunn, to the Wardens by W.Bro. Adrian Kidney and to the Brethren by W.Bro. Chris Eley.

After the meeting was closed the Brethren of Esher Lodge and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable festive board at the Chertsey Masonic Centre. Here you see RW.Bro. Ray and W.Bro. Chris wearing their Allied Masonic Degrees napkins.
