Provincial Grand Lodge of Middlesex Banner Dedication

Provincial Grand Lodge of Middlesex Banner DedicationOn the 15th February 2018 we were invited by the RW Provincial Grand Master of the Mark Province of Middlesex, RW.Bro. Edward Garty, to attend the Provincial Banner Dedication Ceremony at the Twickenham District Masonic Centre. This was held under the Banner of the Star Lodge of Mark Master Masons No. 499.

A Lodge of Mark Master Masons was opened and after the minutes were taken the Lodge was called off. The Surrey Provincial Executive were escorted into the Lodge followed by the Middlesex Provincial Officers of the year and the Provincial Executive of Middlesex. The Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, W.Bro. John Billett, called the Brethren to order to receive the Provincial Grand Master, who was offered the gavel and took the Chair.

The Provincial Grand Master opened Provincial Grand Lodge in due form. He then addressed the Brethren on the object of the proceedings and the Banner was paraded into the Lodge and unveiled.

The Provincial Grand Chaplain gave a most interesting oration on the Banner and its significance after which the Banner was placed in the East. The Provincial Grand Master thanked the Star Lodge of Mark Master Masons for hosting the Provincial Banner Dedication and invited the Worshipful Master to resume the chair. The RW Provincial Grand Master then retired in procession with the Provincial team and honoured guests.. After many photographs the Brethren of Star Lodge and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable festive board at the Twickenham District Masonic Centre.
