The Deputy Provincial Grand Master visits Table Fellowship Lodge

On 1st February 2018 Table Fellowship Lodge of Mark Master Masons No. 1841 were honoured by a visit from VW.Bro. Richard Nerod Baker, Deputy Provincial Grand Master, accompanied by W.Bro. David Willmott, Past Assistant Provincial Grand Master (a Member of the Lodge) and a goodly number of Provincial Grand Officers of the year.

A Lodge of Mark Master Masons was opened. The Assistant Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, W.Bro. James Hill, was admitted and advised the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Malcolm Dickey, that the Deputy Provincial Grand Master was in the ante room and demanded admission to the Lodge. The VW Deputy Provincial Grand Master entered in procession with the Provincial team, was presented with the gavel and took the Chair. The VW Deputy Provincial Grand Master introduced the Provincial team, spoke about the 2022 Festival and the progress being made towards reattaching the Esher Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners to the Table Fellowship of Lodge of Mark Master Masons. He also thanked W.Bro. Terry Carpenter, PGJD, PProvGJW, ProvDepGSec, for his services as Officer Visitor and introduced W.Bro. Trevor Sadler, PAGDC, ProvGSW, who would succeed him as the Lodge’s Official Visitor at the Annual Meeting on 17th March.

After the Deputy Provincial Grand Master had vacated the Chair a ballot was held for two joining Members. W.Bro. John David Billett, PGJD, ProvGDC, and W.Bro. William Emms Brodie, ProvGStwd, were duly elected and welcomed by the Worshipful Master. They were later appointed as Lodge Director of Ceremonies and Junior Warden respectively.

The Lodge Banner was then paraded and its symbolism was explained by the Junior Warden. The Chaplain read out the names of those Brethren who had passed to the Mark Grand Lodge above in the previous year and the Brethren stood to order in respect of departed merit.

Bro Naresh Bhatt, was presented and the Worshipful Master lead the Master Elect through his answers to the usual questions and his promises. The Brethren below the rank of Installed Master in this degree then retired and W.Bro. Charles Hoseason, the Immediate Past Master, installed Brother Naresh into the Chair of Adoniram, in a most impressive manner.
