The afternoon started off with a Royal Ark Mariners meeting where the Worshipful Commander, W.Bro. Trevor Counsell, welcomed the Assistant Provincial Grand Master and Provincial Officers.

W.Bro. Peter McCarthy was declared Worshipful Commander and W.Bro. Jimmy Jones was declared Treasurer for the ensuing year. Then followed a lecture on the Royal Ark Mariner Tracing Board given in four parts by W.Bro. Trevor Counsell, Bro. Anthony Chong, W.Bro. Peter McCarthy and Bro. Sonny Chong.

A Lodge of Mark Master Masons was then opened. The Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies, W.Bro. Mark Donovan, was admitted and advised the Acting Worshipful Master, VW.Bro. George Rodger, PGMO, that the Worshipful Assistant Provincial Grand Master was in the ante room and demanded admission to his Lodge. The Assistant Provincial Grand Master entered in procession with the Provincial team, was presented with the gavel and took the Chair. He said how pleased he was to be officially visiting Dorking Lodge again and how much he was looking forward to the afternoon’s proceedings

After the meeting was closed and the customary photographs taken the Brethren of Dorking Lodge and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable festive board at the Croydon Masonic Hall. Here is a photo of some members and guests sporting their new Provincial ties.
