The afternoon started off with a Royal Ark Mariners meeting where a ballot was taken for Bro. Andrew Banks of Camberley Lodge of Mark Master Masons. This proved in his favour and Bro. Banks was Elevated to the Ancient and Honourable Degree of Royal Ark Mariner by the Worshipful Commander, W.Bro. Tony Collor, assisted by W.Bro. Brian Berry, who gave an excellent presentation of the Working Tools. This was a lovely ceremony conducted in an excellent manner by the Worshipful Commander and the Senior Deacon, Bro. Anthony Hill.

The Worshipful Commander invited the Assistant Provincial Grand Master to present a Grand Lodge Certificate to Bro. Neil Egginton. The next item on the agenda was to ballot for RW.Bro. George Deacon, Provincial Grand Master for Hampshire and Isle of Wight to be an Honorary Member. This proved in his favour and RW.Bro. George was welcomed into Camberley Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners by the Worshipful Commander.

A Lodge of Mark Master Masons was then opened. The Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies, W.Bro. John Ward, was admitted and advised the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Graham Best, that the Worshipful Assistant Provincial Grand Master was in the ante room and demanded admission to his Lodge. The Assistant Provincial Grand Master entered in procession with the Provincial team, was presented with the gavel and took the Chair. He said how pleased he was to be visiting Camberley Lodge for the very first time and how much he was looking forward to the afternoon’s proceedings. The Assistant Provincial Grand Master introduced the Provincial Team, took the minutes and then vacated the Chair.

W.Bro. Tony Connor was inducted into the Chair of Camberley Lodge of Mark Master Masons by the Worshipful Master and Bro. Andrew Banks presented the Working Tools in an excellent manner. The Address to the Master was given by VW.Bro. Brian Berry, to the Wardens by W.Bro. Ernest Niel, to the Overseers by W.Bro. Ian Parsons and to the Brethren by W.Bro. Chris Eley. It was very heartening to see seven Mark Master Masons lining up in the North to salute the new Worshipful Master.

The Worshipful Master invited VW.Bro. Brian Berry to present a Grand Lodge Certificate to Bro. Andrew Banks, which was done in a very sincere manner. The next item on the agenda was to ballot for RW.Bro. George Deacon, Provincial Grand Master for Hampshire and Isle of Wight to be an Honorary Member. This proved in his favour and RW.Bro. George was welcomed into Camberley Lodge of Mark Master Masons by the Worshipful Master. RW.Bro. George thanked the Lodge for kindness shown to him. The Charity Steward in his report gave Notice of Motion for the Lodge to donate the sum of £500 towards the 2022 Festival. This will entitle them to receive a Grand Patron award.

After the meeting was closed the Brethren of Camberley Lodge and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable festive board at the Agincourt Hall, Camberley
