In January, Richmond Lodge of Mark Master Masons No. 808 welcomed VW.Bro. Jerry Gangadeen into its membership, and then Advanced another candidate into the Order.

The afternoon started off with a Royal Ark Mariners meeting where the Worshipful Commander, W.Bro. John Fitzgerald, welcomed the Provincial Grand Master of the Mark Province of London, RW.Bro. David Ashbolt, an Assistant Provincial Grand Master of the Mark Province of London, VW.Bro. Jerry Gangadeen and all the guests.

A ballot was taken for W.Bro. Malcolm Clarke to be a joining member of the Lodge, which proved in his favour. W.Bro. Malcolm was welcomed into the Lodge by the Worshipful Commander.

The Worshipful Commander invited W.Bro. Chris Eley to present a Royal Ark Mariner Grand Lodge Certificate to Bro. Brian Clutterbuck who was Elevated at the previous meeting.

A Lodge of Mark Master Masons was then opened by the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Sidney Furlonger, and the Provincial Grand Master of the Mark Province of London was saluted with seven.

A ballot was taken for VW.Bro. Jeremiah Gangadeen, PGMO, AProvGM (London), a Past Master of Haddenham Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 1629. This proved in his favour and VW.Bro. Jerry was welcomed into the Lodge by the Worshipful Master.

A ballot was also taken for Bro. William Jowett, a Past Master of Ealing Lodge No 2662. This proved in his favour. The Worshipful Master then invited W.Bro. John Fitzgerald to advance Bro. William Jowett to the honourable degree of Mark Master Mason, assisted by VW.Bro. Jerry Gangadeen who presented the Working Tools. The Charge was presented by W.Bro. Tim Ford.

To round off a busy afternoon W.Bro. Chris Eley was then invited to present a Mark Grand Lodge Certificate to Bro. Mark Green.

After the customary photographs the Brethren of Richmond Lodge and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable festive board in the Elizabethan Suite at the Surbiton Masonic Hall where the M Box was passed round to collect loose change for the 2022 Festival.. After the meal the Brethren of Richmond Lodge and their guests were treated to a delicious slice of cake with their coffee baked by their newest joining member, VW.Bro Jerry.

Richmond Lodge is a member of the Austin Group meeting at Surbiton and an open invitation is always there for other Brethren to join us.
