Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Surrey
Executive Visit to Lingfield Lodge

In January, W.Bro. Chris Eley, Assistant Provincial Grand Master, together with a number of Provincial Officers made an Official Visit to Lingfield Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners and Lingfield Lodge of Mark Master Masons No. 1419.

Executive Visit to Kintore Lodge

The afternoon started off with a Royal Ark Mariners meeting where a ballot was taken for Bro. Dudley Thompson of Lingfield Lodge of Mark Master Masons. This proved in his favour and Bro. Thompson was Elevated to the Ancient and Honourable Degree of Royal Ark Mariner by the Worshipful Commander, W.Bro. Michael Flynn, assisted by W.Bro. Ian Keen, who gave an excellent presentation of the Working Tools.

A Lodge of Mark Master Masons was then opened. The Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies, W.Bro. Paul Kerswell, was admitted and advised the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Robert Soper, that the Worshipful Assistant Provincial Grand Master was in the ante room and demanded admission to his Lodge. The Assistant Provincial Grand Master entered in procession with the Provincial team, was presented with the gavel and took the Chair. He said how pleased he was to be visiting Lingfield Lodge and how much he was looking forward to the afternoon’s proceedings. The Assistant Provincial Grand Master introduced the Provincial Team, took the minutes and then vacated the Chair.

Executive Visit to Kintore Lodge

Executive Visit to Kintore LodgeBro. Michael Flynn was obligated and installed as Worshipful Master in an excellent manner by W.Bro. Robert Soper. The Addresses to the Master and the Brethren were given by W.Bro. Chris Eley and to the Wardens by W.Bro. Tim Ford.

The Worshipful Master thanked the Provincial Officers and members of the Provincial Support Team who had assisted in filling offices for both meetings, especially W.Bro. Tim Ford, the Lodge’s Official Visitor, who had acted as Scribe/Secretary at the last minute, and W.Bro. Steve Harvey, Provincial Grand Tyler, who had acted as Warder and Tyler for the afternoon.

After the meeting was closed the Brethren of Lingfield Lodge and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable festive board at the Nutfield Masonic Hall.

During the festive board the M Box was presented to the Lodge Charity Steward, Bro. Colin Whitehead, by W.Bro. Bernie Greenwood, one of the Group Charity Stewards. This was circulated to collect any loose change as a donation to the 2022 Festival
